|Got through most of the introduction dialog, and tried a random level from Woodlands in online randoms mode. I can already tell it's way more fun than the single player will be... That first boss was tricky mostly because of still getting used to the totem controls. I like how you have to pay attention to what item each person has... |
We beat it on our last fairy. I tried another level but then got disconnected...
Later, I managed to get a competent team of 3 people and beat Woodlands 1-4, and one of the Riverside levels... one guy who seemed about as clueless as me sometimes.
There's no question now, the multiplayer in this is way way better than most other nintendo games... definitely blows Four Swords away
There's something really cute/charming about the minimalistic town... stuff like birds flying overhead to make use of the 3D... gates laying on rooftops and other background scenery... All the NPCs giving you various random hints on story and hidden/less obvious stuff you can do in the game... It could be much better, but I like it.
This mobile-style grindyness though... lol I dunno how long it'll take to buy every costume in the game.
Oh and this game has ALBW's streetpass battles, except you can play them online too... Gonna put my zora costume on and Force some heroes into their skeleton costumes...
Won the first battle as blue zora link with bombs vs two kokiri links with boomerangs... even though they had the most advantage with their costumes I still beat them by mostly hot-potatoing them constantly... 2nd battle was a draw for first place, I think we both had the mario fireball weapon while 3rd place had the hammer.
I don't think you get anything from battling though... other than satisfaction of beating up other Links.
