|Played through the last 7 chapters of this game while high. It just kept getting better and better...|
Chapters 10-11.. Bayo goes into Inferno to save Jeanne from the demon who tries to consume her soul.. the barkeep guy doesn't want Bayo to kill this demon though, because he needs its soul for himself.
Chapter 12, Bayo goes to look for Loki (that card throwing kid with the millenium puzzle) because the Lumen Sage is still after him. That lumen sage happens to be Bayo's dad, Buldur, and he wants Loki dead because he thinks he's the one who killed Rosa, Bayo's mother. There's an epic cutscene showing Bayo fighting against the sage while protecting Loki.. she throws the kid into the air, then turns into bats to dodge the sage's attack, then catches the kid.
Chapter 13.. Loki suddenly gains some godly powers, and then Bayo is sent back into the past. Bayo ends up back in Vigrid, 500 years ago, when the witch hunt was going on. She joins another Umbran witch and starts fighting against a ton of angel enemies from the first game.
Chapter 14.. This is where the game really starts to ramp up in quality. Bayo and the other witch get into umbran mech armor, which makes them powerful enough to plow through angel enemies that used to be more like miniboss battles. Meanwhile another umbran witch is fighting against this big angel boss in the background.. then you go and fight against this huge thing that looks like the front of a train.. then you find the past version of Buldur and Rosa, and an evil version of Loki who has killed Rosa and is trying to obtain the eyes of the world.
Chapter 15.. Bayo brings her dad back into her current time.. the reporter guy is helping the kid get to Fimbulventr where he can use his powers to stop the bad version of him who's trying to obtain the eyes.. Jeanne takes Bayo and Bulder on a plane and heads towards the mountain in a Starfox-like sequence. Loki now realizes he is the better half of the god of chaos, Aesir... and his bad half wants to reclaim the eyes of the world which were separated from him.
Chapter 16, bad Aesir absorbs the good Aesir's powers into himself and regains his full godlike powers. Bayo and Bulder fight against him, but both end up losing their right/left eyes of the world, and now it seems hopeless.. but Buldur steps up and declares that humans don't need the eyes of a god, and that human eyes can make their own path.. they continue fighting him.. and when you try Umbran Climax, he phases through it like nothing...
Loki realizes he can still do something.. he says his bad self didn't realize why the good self is the better half.. he does some ritual with his cards and causes his bad self to lose his godly powers. This is the true power of Aesir.. the power to return anything to nothingness. Bad Aesir is now just a soul who is about to be claimed by Inferno.. but he declares that he will eventually be reincarnated, and at that time will regain his powers.. Buldur goes and absorbs Aesir's soul into himself.. then warns Cereza that he's going to become an enemy one day..
So... in some ways this is actually the prequel to the first Bayonetta? This is how Bayo's dad becomes evil before she fights him in Bayo 1? or maybe not, maybe this is actually just the cliffhanger to Bayo 3.
