|Wow... case 4 is getting really good. |
Case 4 part 2 summary:
Edgeworth found Kay hiding at the viewing platform again.. and had Ray and Ema along with him to help investigate. They went down to the hidden storeroom below the viewing platform, where Kay was pushed into by her attacker...
There they found evidence from old cases being sold in an auction, and a lift leading down to somewhere... and Lotta Hart was also hiding here investigation... She had witnessed a murder on the night of Kay's incident, and snapped a photo of a person with the same description as Kay's attacker, with bloodstains on his hands... All this evidence was now piling up... and when the gang took the lift down, they ended up back in the PIC room... Debeste was about to arrest Kay and make Edgeworth leave, but Franziska whipped him and decided to hear Edgeworth out.
...and also, the conductor of the auction who was murdered, is what Franziska originally came here to investigate/arrest.
"I dun goofed"... "The consequences will never be the same."
oh gosh... this translation team is trying a bit too hard.
But actually, according to Lotta's testimony (Fran doesn't trust this person's testimony very well though), the person who was murdered couldn't have been the conductor... Just then, Justine and Blaise jump in with evidence that shows the red raincoat was worn by the victim, not the killer... wtf, just when Edgeworth was jumping ahead, this comes out of nowhere, and Kay suddenly remembers seeing the red raincoat person on the ground, and realizes she must be the killer. Edgeworth also gets arrested for his unauthorized investigation...
Justine visits Edgeworth at the detention center to talk to him. She seems to be opening up to his point of view... Blaise then comes and Edgeworth forces the truth out of him with logic chess. He knows that Kay was framed, and arrested her out of benefit for the P.I.C.
Finally, the P.I.C. has its trial for Edgeworth, but it really just turns into a trial to determine Kay's involvement in the murder case. Blaise gets revealed as the culprit and conductor of the auction. Courtney is now helping Edgeworth.. she knew about Blaise's crimes already and was trying to expose him, and so was the victim...
As for Kay, she got involved with the victim when she went to try and steal back her promises notebook from the auction...
..and then, just when everything seems to be resolved... Kay realizes they still don't know who the original red coat guy was who knocked Kay out... Then Edgeworth gets a call from Shelly dekiller... A lead in to case 5?
