|Episode 3 2/3|
A new villain/monster appears from the sky... Clef is surprised to see that this is Zagato's deity, which should no longer exist. Hikaru, Fuu, and Umi want to go and fight it, despite Clef saying that they don't stand a chance... then Eagle teleports the 3 of them to the inside of Cephiro Castle.
Eagle just casually takes their 3 spirit beasts from them without even putting up a fight... but then they start shining a bright light... and Emeraude looks up and sees this light and starts freaking out. Hikaru gets sent to the place where Emeraude is... she sees that Emeraude is living in a dream world where Zagato is still alive... so that bright light from before must've been something that was threatening to wake Emeraude out of her dream.
Fuu and Umi all saw this as well. I think they were looking into the glass floor that they're standing on.
I cannot allow Emeraude's broken heart... to be hurt any more than it already has. That's why I protect her in a never-ending dream.
The girls disagree with what Eagle is doing, and he starts attacking them with ghosts, and then Lantis shows up and teleports them out of the castle.
The problem is what to do now. How will you save this world from being taken over by the castle?
Then Eagle goes to summon more ghosts.
People of Cephiro, who wander in this realm of the dead. Give me the power of your love for Emeraude. I will bury those people... in eternal darkness.
Lantis is fighting the ghosts off with his sword, and then uses a huge bright light attack to clear away all the ghosts.
Will you entrust your future to my sword?
You girls can save the soul of my brother... Zagato, who was tricked by the hand of fate.
The girls get teleported away from the castle by Lantis's magic. Hikaru realizes the meaning of what Lantis told her before.
"You wanted to use the deity's power to protect this world, even if it meant sacrificing yourself. You were fooled by the fantasy and power of the legend."
That's why you looked at me so sadly...
Actually, only Hikaru and Umi got teleported elsewhere. Fuu used her magic to prevent being moved so that Lantis wouldn't be left on his own.
okay, so now I understand everything. This version of the story is alright. Entirely different from the series, but I can see the similar themes to it.
