High replay log part 12
Rito really does feel like the first divine beast you're supposed to do in a way... on normal mode (or master mode as long as you have a horse), starting from the Plateau and going down the path to Rito Village is about as easy to do at the beginning of the game as going down the Dueling Peaks path to Kakariko and Hateno Village. Meanwhile the usual way you'd get to Zora's Domain from Kakariko would be a lot tougher due to enemy camp frequency and how hard it is to avoid battles... The Goron path from there branches off the Zora path and turns out to be about the same difficulty... The path to Lurelin Village and Faron from Hateno is a bit more enemy-dense than the beginning paths but a bit lower than the Zora's River or Death Mountain paths... and the Faron Mountains branch out into a lot of stuf whereas lower Faron only branches out between jungle and sea... and the Gerudo Desert paths are generally more mazelike and much easier to get lost in if you don't have a map (and sometimes even if you do have a map, due to the amount of sheer cliffs that are unclimbable without Revali's Gale or using up stamina items.... it's like a maze of really thin mountains with a lot more 90 degree climbs than anywhere else in the overworld except for Hyrule Castle and the Labyrinths... holy shit I'm in love with this game's world design.
oh yeah, I remember learning something about how scaring birds away helps increment the invisible counter that increases the chances of a blood moon happening at night... just like fighting monsters does, but probably to a lower effect than fighting monsters and bosses... That explains why I sometimes get a blood moon even when I've just been exploring peaceful areas for a while.
woah that scene was ridiculous... just as I was fishing for a treasure on the south side of this nameless lake, some lightning came and delivered me some hearty bass.
