|Episode 8 - Everything I Can Do - I CHOSE this way of life.|
More info about Altair... she's based on a character from an online game, and the author created a video about her and that created a whole separate world that diverged from the original character.
Kikuchihara brought in two more creator characters. Yuya's creator and Blitz's creator, and requested their help as well. Selesia's artist is surprised that the creator of Code Babylon is a girl. Yuya attacks his creator, but then I guess someone stops him.
Sota goes to meet with Meteora, and doesn't tell her that he knows Altair's creator, but instead asks for some vague advice on what to do about some past friendship drama... It seems like Sota got jealous of his friend's talents or something, and was mean to her, and now he's trying to get better at drawing in order to make up with her.
Mamika goes back to talk to Alice... Alicetaria thinks this world is hell and isn't worth saving, because none of the people here have any honor and aren't trying to save their world. Then Mamika says
Everyone is a god, so this world can't be saved by someone who's just a hero. But that's why many colors interweave. making it beautiful, like a jewel.
I'm thankful to the gods for creating my world. Your world might be a terrible world, but the gods created you and put you there to try to save the world, Alice.
And this world is the place we met. I'm very happy that it happened.
She flies away after telling Alice this. I think she's decided to switch sides now, but doesn't want Alice to think of her as an enemy.
Magane goes up to Sota on the street, and reveals to him that she's been spying on him the whole time he talked to Mamika and Meteora... she then suggests that maybe his friend no longer exists anymore, and he starts freaking out. She then takes his phone, gives him her number, and asks him to stay in touch with her. I have no idea what she's planning...
Mamika goes to confront Altair, and tells her everything she now knows, and declares that she will oppose her attempts to destroy this world. She could've just pretended to still be on Altair's side, but she thinks it would disgrace her friends to do that. And in true magical girl fashion, she still thinks of Altair as a friend, and wants to save her by defeating her, and tries to reason with her and get her to stop seeking revenge. Altair says she hates everyone... all the creations, and the people that created them, they all make her sick.
This world rejected my ally. All she wanted was a place to belong. Only a tiny humble wish. But the world humiliated her. They ignored her existence. They spat on her and laughed at her. They treated her like she didn't exist. Just like it was easy for them, doing this is easy for me too. I will destroy everything, including you.
Mamika says that she changed from how she used to be in her story, and then Altair says she was also changed by what happened in this world.
I will never forgive the merciless story that gave her a role like that. I am not merely following a plot outline written by someone. This is something I decided myself.
I'll show you that I can accept your sadness. We all carried pain and sadness with us in our old worlds. I'm sure I can accept your sadness, too. I want to save your soul.
Mamika is starting to become my favorite character now. She has such strong emotional dialog... Meteora, Yuya, and Magane are also really great.
Woah, that escalated quickly... suddenly Altair plunges a bunch of swords into Mamika. Then summons a bunch more swords, and Mamika uses her last breath to do a Magical Splash Flare attack. The episode ends there.
