|Before I even finished exploring the 3rd area, I found a 4th area named Kur. It seems like there's a recurring theme of a prison dungeon at the bottom of many of the areas in this game. The 3rd area is called "Zi" btw.|
The high jump boots in this game are called the "Field Disruptor". I'm also finding a few journal notes that are hidden away as optional collectibles, and some of them are in an unreadable language. I can tell the story in this game is trying really hard to have depth and stuff... idk maybe I'll like it more on a 2nd playthrough.
The bosses in this game on Normal mode are laughably easy so far.
After a while I got to a power node thing that the giant machine head told me to get, and then it gave me some lore about this planet that I'm on... it seems to be like a 2 worlds concept like in Metroid Prime 2.
ohh, this is a really neat power. Now I can walk through walls that are only 1 tile thick. I wasn't expecting something like this at all.
Found another machine head person... then after a while I came up onto the surface of the planet. I ended up wandering into a grainy/staticy version of the world, and the first machine head person told me I shouldn't be here... I tried exploring it and died, and then I couldn't figure out how to get back to that world again. Or is this the 5th area that connects the 1st and 4th areas, the one called "Indi"?
Sweet, now I can finally crawl... well not exactly. But I gained a remote drone dispenser item which I can use to explore small crawlspace paths and shoot switches. You can make the drone self destruct and return to your character at any time. Now I'm a little bit lost on where to go next. I tried exploring further up through the surface area, but couldn't get very far... I went back and found a new gun, which I'm not sure if it's any good (I still mostly use the taser weapon whenever I don't need long range and the exploding weapon or pellet shooter for long range boss battles).
Found another surface area called Edin. Not much to do here I think... but yeah there are still quite a few places to check out I'm not really stuck at all yet.
