|Trilogy Collector's Edition lore/artbook continued|
This part really stood out to me at the 2nd half of the "Prime" chapter:
Empowered by the will of the Chozo, Samus harnesses the power of Phazon to defeat Metroid Prime. In its final moments, Metroid Prime grows unstable and attaches itself to Samus's Phazon Suit, tearing it from Samus before exploding.
It seemed the Phazon threat had been eliminated, but this was not the case. After Samus left Tallon IV, the few remaining cells of Metroid Prime began to secretly multiply using the gene information taken from Samus's suit.
Then I read the first half of the Echoes chapter.
Basically another Leviathon landed on another planet, Aether, at the same time as the one that landed on Tallon IV.
oh shit... that means that by now Aether will be much more overtaken with Phazon than Tallon IV was, I think...
The impact of the Leviathon divided Aether into two dimensions: Dark Aether and Light Aether.Luminoth on the light side vs. the Ing on the dark side.
Samus is going there to investigate the disappearance of some Federation soldiers who were chasing down space pirates here.
So Samus talks to this planet's elder and decides to help him destroy the world's balance by destroying Dark Aether entirely.
okay I guess that's enough, the rest of the MP2 summary is spoilers since it's been so long since I last played this...
