Level 4: Cloudy Park
omg I love this music...
I like this level... very simple but neat. just gotta keep going with whichever abilities/animals the level recommends to make it the most fun to play through. I just realized broom with Nago is basically like the wheel ability. By now I've noticed how the difficulty in this game is basically optional... like if you only care about getting through all the levels, you can just play as regular kirby with no abilities, and with Gooey if you want, and the entire game will be Dream Land 1 levels of easy... but using the copy abilities, especially with all the different animal combinations, can make various parts of the game either much easier, much harder, or about the same... it's a neat way of controlling the difficulty... in fact, sometimes it's kind of its own puzzle to try and figure out which ability combination makes each level segment the easiest to get through.
4-2 was great... I'm really starting to dig this level design now... when the level design actually accounts for the small screen size and makes fun challenges out of that... that's when this game is at its best. Although you can just fly over everything if you don't feel like using a partner that gimps your flying ability.
oh wow... the fireball is gimped in this stage where it's raining... just as if you tried to use it underwater.
Really fun Coo level, especially with Fireball.
Obviously the objective here is to bring Rick to the end, which requires a lot of tight platforming that wouldn't otherwise be a problem for Kirby. I don't know how to get through the last part of this level with Rick at all though.
I really love the aesthetic of this level... even more than the usual levels in this game... there's some very interesting unique ideas going on in this linear "choose your animal to get through, other side paths lead to 1ups" level. I thought I understood that shape puzzle, but I guess I was supposed to make the shape upside down to give the character a happy face.
That boss was really fun with solo fireball kirby.
