|wow... for a while I thought, like... "okay I've probably just about finished collecting 100% of the moons in this kingdom. probably only missing whatever there is to get after you find one of those sphinx taxi things... but then I go to look at the moon list page and... 14/69 lmao|
this is something I wasn't expecting at all... the level changes from day to night after you defeat the boss... and the inverted pyramid starts floating again... it's like angel island... and this opens up a new area beneath the pyramid... so I could go there or I could go to the next kingdom...
Wooded Kingdom (the girder level) plus Lake Kingdom have both opened up on the globe map.... Lake kingdom looks like a swimming level that I never knew about... other than that the only other level I know about is New Donk City...
lmao wtf... this zipper transformation that cuts out the floor and opens a path... this is literally a Paper Mario Color Splash feature, amazing
I like these SMB style swimming controls (which SM3DW used as well) better than the swimming controls in the Galaxies and other 3D Marios before it...
This jaxi riding obstacle course is really fun, reminds me of the slides in SM64
that hidden zipper level in Lake Kingdom was weird... it was a lot like a Kirby's Epic Yarn level
okay so some levels are bigger than others... I got 17/69 my first time exploring Sand Kingdom, and 13/33 first time exploring Lake Kingdom. Also I almost got all of the purple coins in Lake Kingdom.
Wooded Kingdom... Both this and Lake Kingdom are a lot more maze like and trickier to find your way around...
woah... instead of a bottomless pit, I fell down into the Deep Woods section... here there are actual bottomless pits... and a top hat T Rex chases you.
Throwing a seed into the glowing patch of dirt makes a beanstalk appear, that takes you back to the upper woods section, where there's all that building construction
The red pepper ability from Galaxy 2 is in this game.
I had 64 moons by the time I had the power to go to Metro Kingdom... but then suddenly I get a Bowser fight in the Cloud Kingdom... and then the Odyssey crash lands down into Lost Kingdom, and you need to get 10 of the yellow power moons here to restore it... I then got to the gliding transformation and got a few more.
76 moons going into New Donk City...
Went from 76 to 83 moons in that New Donk City part where it's raining and the city is under attack... 13 moons remaining in order to progress to the next area..
then I ended up getting all 13 of the moons at the "gathering band members for Pauline" part.
96 moons after about 6 hours of playing
