|Area 2 part 4|
With the teleporter, I can see that my map completion % for each area is:
Surface - 57.1%
Area 1 - 35.7%
Area 2 - 44.4%
Again, I'm not gonna do any backtracking in previous areas unless I get stuck somewhere, or I get to the point where it seems like I'm near the end of the game.
Went back to the bottom left corner of the map... I confirmed that I still can't do anything to get that yellow cube item with the wave beam or high jump.
This block with a bright red light, I can't destroy with missiles... maybe this needs super missiles. I guess I'll go down to Area 3 and stop at the first save point.
Area 3 Introduction
Now I'm starting to see recolors of previous enemies. They're not just buffed though. This red version of the hopping enemy shoots acid at you.
I can't wait to play more of this. The controls, the fluidity and difficulty of the combat, the complex level designs, the variety of the background scenery... it's all so good.
Also, I bought a silicone grip addon for my n3DS xl, and the comfort issues I had with this game before are completely gone now.
I'm now at 14.7% completion, 27 Metroids remaining, and just under 4 hours played.
