|Episode 4: Turnabout Succession - Investigation part 2 recap|
I guess this "MASON" system thing is a sort of narrative tool for the player so you can know which time period you are going into. that's cool.
I noticed Kristoph Gavin is now suddenly in the profiles list... heheh I knew he'd be showing up again soon. This confirms it, and now that I know he's related to this case, I can easily put 2 and 2 together and say that Kristoph was the attorney who got the forged evidence made for Zak's trial. He then passed the case on to Phoenix Wright so that Phoenix would be the one to take the blame for it instead of him.
and then Kristoph goes and becomes friends with Phoenix, who is unaware that Kristoph caused him to lose his attorney badge. man, what an asshole. Kristoph seems like much more of the main villain than Zak now that I think about it... in fact it almost explains why in the first case he...
I JUST FREAKING FIGURED THIS OUT, JUST AS I WAS TYPING THIS.
Shadi Smith, the victim from the 1st case = Shadi Enigmar
*queus Cornered music*
It's so obvious. I don't even remember what Shadi Smith looked like but all the signs point to it. Gavin's reason for killing him wasn't explained in the first case, it must've been because he realized who it was... Phoenix also seemed to have some connection to Shadi Smith that was never explained... Phoenix had that letter from Zak Gramarye that he gave to Trucy, so he must've met Zak recently... and, of course, then there's that locket of Trucy that I seem to recall Phoenix took from the victim, that was never fully explained either... well shit, I'm basically 100% sure that's him. there's no question about it.
Well, now that all connects together nicely, but that doesn't exactly answer any of the questions I had about the current case... on with the investigation...
Wow, Trucy can still carry around that huge Mr. Hat thing even when she's that small? wtf... and that thing appears to be made of wood. hmm... damn I guess that just shows how talented she is as a magician. She's sort of reminding me of Pearl now. First spirit-channelers now magicians, I guess oddball little girls really have a thing for Phoenix. and awww @ Trucy using her trick to help her dad escape the courtroom... that's cute. Vera is incredibly cute too.
fuck yeah, I forgot how the psyche-locks made investigations so much more fun. I've noticed those touch-screen minigames with Apollo mostly only made investigations more tedious. with Phoenix and his magatama you actually have to figure stuff out for yourself in order to progress. This is what all the investigations should be like.
