|Episode 4: Turnabout Succession - Trial part 1.5 recap|
I'm gonna take a wild guess that this Shadi Enigmar/Zak Gramarye guy is actually the real villain who's behind everything. He probably got Vera Misham to write the forged diary page so he would be found innocent, and then probably tried to kill Vera or Drew with a poisonous stamp for some reason? and that plan failed so he went into hiding? I don't know, that's the best I can come up with.
The non-forged letter from Magnifi states that Zak had to follow his orders, most likely blackmail, so that makes me think Zak is/was some kind of criminal before he joined the Gramarye troupe...
I finished with Gumshoe's testimony and now there's another witness... maybe a new character? eh I'll find out soon enough, I'm stopping here.
The next witness was Valant... both Valant and Zak were ordered to shoot Magnifi at different times, and BOTH of them had a reason they could not refuse. Well whatever that reason is, I'm pretty sure Valant is innocent and Zak is the villain. It must've been either Zak or the attorney he was with before who got the diary page forged and then sent that poisonous stamp to Drew/Vera to ensure that they couldn't testify about it.
lol, poor Phoenix doesn't realize he's digging his own grave. I just have to play along now and try to defend Zak and eventually present the diary page and the court will somehow know that it was forged and that'll be the end.
and that's exactly what happened. This trial sure was easy to figure out.
Now, I would've thought that Zak was relying on the forged diary page to get him out, but turns out he had something completely ridiculous planned out from the start... despite how ridiculous it was I gotta admit it was pretty badass. Instead of admitting his defeat like most villains he's like
"HAHAHA! How can you declare a verdict on someone who doesn't exist?" *vanishes into thin air*
Now that's an awesome villain right there.
Or, he would be, but it's just that his "crime" that commited, and whatever reason he had for it, are retarded. so yeah, he killed a dying old man (not to mention he was forced into it for some unknown reason), and forged evidence and tried to kill the forger... there's gotta be something more that I'm missing cuz that's a pretty weak plot.
