|s02e01 - Worlds within Worlds|
"Why did the Beast Planet attack a battle moon from half way across the system?"
"Quite simply, to show that it can."
Cyra finds Tekla in a random cave on the Ice Planet, and stops her from shooting an endangered animal... Tekla tells her to go back..
"Since when do you order me? I'm a princess too, remember?"
oh yeah... last we left off we had all 4 planets align together after they all saw the Beast Planet's wrath first-hand. Now each of the other planets are all acting on their own again thinking they can take on the Beast Planet. Prince Pyrus refuses to wait for Rock to transport its battle moons, and goes to defend their planet against Beast Planet without them.
Tekla and Cyra find a teleporter and get teleported to... somewhere... Meanwhile, the battle moon's shields just barely deflect a beam of pure null energy from the beast planet... then the beam heads towards planet Ice...
Cyrus: "Break off the attack, we are only feeding it more energy"
Tekla and Crya find some video gamey stone circle arrangement... that seems to control a machine. Tekla's bot does not recognize this technology, but she figures it out... "Maximum thrust, now!"
oh... so Planet Ice just barely evades.
"Thank the frost... we must learn how this miracle was performed, my friend.."
that look of "oh shit" as the ice people were facing armageddon.. this show is really well written sometimes.
Graveheart: "who knows... with all this power standing beside us... we might actually stand a chance."
and then the next ep is called:
s02e02 - This is the Way the World Ends...
Planet Fire are the last one's to learn from Tekla about how to control their planet's hidden engines...
Pyrus's chancellor keeps saying this alliance was a mistake... he thinks they rest of them should've not provoked the Beast Planet at all and it might've left them alone. Graveheart convinces them to let them manage their planet's engines while the Prince focuses on defending his planet.
Pyrus: "Graveheart! You hold the fate of my planet in your hands... there's no one I'd rather trust with it more."
just then... Fire is struck with sudden earthquakes and storms.
"The Beast is so close its gravitational pull is ripping your world apart."
Graveheart jumps on Pyrus who's about to be hit by falling rocks... the Chancellor sees this and finally realizes the Graveheart truly does care about saving Fire...
Pyrus gives an inspirational speech of hope to his people while evacuating them... Tekla and GH find Beast Drones already in the core... they've destroyed a part of the machinery. Tekla starts repairing it and it only manages to maintain minimum thrust.... Vezeir sneaks into the engine room and then pretends to hate them for failing and tells them both to leave this planet... he does this so that he can stay behind and control the planet engine himself and Graveheart, the one he trusts most to protect Pyrus, can flee to safety.
"Our home fires will bearn for as long as there is memory."
Then everyone notices the Fire Planet heading directly towards the Beast, trying to sacrifice itself to ram the Beast Planet... or rather, Vezier is sacrificing himself.
Vezier contacts the Prince and the others on their ship somehow... he's saying he fully trusts Pyrus to lead the planet on his own now...
"In all the years you've ever known me... when have I ever turned and run?"
"I wish it were not true, but you no longer need my guidance. Your friends... I was wrong about them... they truly have... hearts of fire."
"Farewell, Prince Pyrus... Ruler of Planet Fire, Lord of Golden Light."
"And you... eater of worlds... May you taste our righteous fire! Show them it! For my planet's sake, I speak my breath at thee!"
... it does no damage at all, the Beast Planet just devours it, smoke and all...
lol it seems like all the bone people try to kill their ruler whenever they get the chance. They all treat each other as food...
in fact, all the Planets in the system thing of Bone people as their main food supply.
Graveheart's fleet gets surved Fire Weed... the Ice people can't eat it or else they'd melt... it's just barely compatible with Rock metabolism.
(sheesh, no wonder Feemer is such a coward... who can blame him?)
Next up for lunch: Ice Lice... wtf
Pyrus takes a bite... "Jade, did you remove the eggs before serving the lice?"
next Cryos tries some Rock Salts...
after Feemer fails at approaching Mantel... they get the same treatment from Cryos... "Guards! Seize these pathetic intruders!"... he's gonna threaten them to get them to provide real food... They still don't trust him since that one time he allied with the Beast and only switched sides because they betrayed him. they tell him where Pyrus is while saying they're glad Pyrus wasn't here to see this guy again.
Pyrus is giving some food to a poor kid on his planet when Feemer drops in...
"Ironic aint it? I'm an emporor with a planet full of people who hate me, and you're a Prince with no planet full of people who love you. So who's the chump here, huh kid?"
Bone succeeds at gaining the alliance's trust again by dropping food on everyone... the food packages on ice become frozen solid as they fall through the atmosphere, and seem more like dead missiles.
Captain Blaze... The Fire guard that Pyrus left in charge of a battle moon, breaks off from the alliance and goes to fight the Beast Planet on its own, realizing they have nothing else to lose anyway...
Now Mantel is forcing Jade, his Captain of the Guard, to leave the alliance and lead a fight to protect their battle moons...
Pyrus's captain actually looks like he's about to break his people's code and kill the Prince... but it's just that he's making him unconscious and sending him to safety.
I didn't catch the WHOLE story in this one, was a bit too high to pay attention... but basically Blaze does a Vezier-like thing by stealing a battle moon (and Feemer), but in the end he survived the Beast fleet's attack and stayed by his Prince's side...
also something with Jade secretly betraying Graveheart to serve Mantel's request.. and Graveheart trying to get in Jade's pants
s02e05 - Sandstorm
oh... I think Rock hasn't figured out how to fly its engines yet? seems like GH and Jade still need to get through Mantel.
Cyra complements a rock face that she thinks is carved out of the ground... but is disappointed when its only sand dunes that are arranged that way... Cryos has to remind Cyra to be on her best behaviour when they're on a diplomatic mission to the City of the Sun... they have domesticated animals called Sand People.
Jade sees something out in a sandstorm...
"By Mantel's crown... What the granite is that?"
This guy running the City of Sand People doesn't believe in other planets... or in an engine that can move a planet... but they let them have their way when he finds out they only want to go to the teleporter which is the thing they call the "sun disk". he probably doesn't believe there's anything they could do in there.
Cyra and a Sand People she met eye to eye with somehow end up lost in the pyramid or something... things attack them... and Cyra manages to communicate with a Sand People to get them to defend her. the Sand People then use their telepathic powers to get her to the engine room... Cyra has to just trust their words when they tell her to step into the abyss... there's an invisible bridge leading to it... they also use their telepathic powers to easily make the beast fleet back off. Even though these people have sworn to "never harm another", they can still keep them at bay.
