|Episode 5 - This Water is Coldest at the Bottom - So, why don't we have ourselves a guys' night out?|
This new character that appeared is Kanoya, along with his giant robot Gigas Machina... Meteora's group comes to explain to Kanoya and his creator that the worlds are colliding and everything... Kanoya is very rebellious and self-centered, and doesn't want to help fight to save the world because he's sick of fighting and just wants a girlfriend. Selesia offers, but he rejects her, saying he prefers younger girls.
Then suddenly, a bunch of armed forces show up to the house of Kanoya's creator, and they surround everyone with guns. Kanoya is the only one who fights back and he even gets in his giant robot and is about to smash the entire house in, when Meteora stops him and negotiates with the special forces instead. Now they've been taken to Japan's national defense council or something.
I expected Meteora to do all the talking and explaining the plot like she always does, but surprisingly, these government agents already figured out a lot about what's going on. Sota identified one of the characters in their footage as Yuya Mirokuji, from the game Exclusive Underground, and the government people immediately sent out someone to take the creator of Yuya's game into protective custody.
They figured out that someone has been kidnapping the creators of the fictional characters that are showing up and causing mayhem. They also caught footage of Alicetaria kidnapping her creator.
Then they showed evidence of Meteora stealing some military weapons. Meteora admitted that she's not very good at attack magic, and needed that stuff to make the enemy back off. She apologized for it, but argued that it was an emergency and she should be pardoned for it. Finally, Meteora goes to tell them the one thing the government didn't already know about, that the negative effects of these worlds colliding could cause the world's destruction, and that the enemy is likely doing this intentionally.
Meteora is really good at diplomacy... She got the government council on her side and they granted her and Selesia and Kanoya resident status after they all pledged to protect their creators' world in addition to their own. Meteora then suggested the highest priority should be finding the creator of the enemy who is behind all of this, along with finding the other "creations" and having them join their side. She thinks that using the power of imagination that creators in this world have is vital to figuring out a solution to this mess.
This is getting really interesting. I didn't even notice that this government defense council exposition scene took basically the entire length of the episode.
Sota remembers how the military uniform princess seemed to recognize him at the beginning, and now he's starting to think he knows her somehow... omg, I think Sota actually knows who her creator is. wow what a cliffhanger...
