|Episode 2 - Second Dragon, Kanna! (We're Totally Spoiling Here)|
Kobayashi goes shopping with Tohru... Tohru doesn't like the big department store because it reminds her of the castle of her enemies, and suggests going to the smaller shops instead. Kobayashi is worried about everyone finding out she's a dragon and turning against her, but she's extremely likable with everyone.
When Tohru is out shopping again, a small dragon girl enters Kobayashi's apartment and calls Kobayashi a slut and tells her to stop seducing Tohru. This girl is a lot less strong/scary and can't even hurt Kobayashi. Tohru comes back and this little girl (Kanna Kamui) explains that Tohru left without telling her.
Kanna is weak because there's not enough mana in this area, and she was exiled from her home for pulling a prank, and Kobayashi sees her crying and decides to let her live here as well. Kanna doesn't trust humans still but Kobayashi makes the argument that you can only trust people by getting to know them.
This next part is great. Kanna wants to play something other than video games, so they fly away to some deserted empty plains and have a DBZ fight. Kanna explains that she recharged her powers by plugging into the electrical outlet earlier.
"Huh? Are you made of lithium?"
Kobayashi refuses to play along with them, and accidentally crushes their dreams by telling them the super powerful humans they see on TV aren't real.
This part is great too. Tohru takes Kanna around the city teaching her things about this world... like how you have to wait for the lights to avoid these iron boxes called cars that run on magic, and how there's these magic words you can use to get through a lot of conversations (talking about some guy talking on the phone and saying "maji" a lot)... And how seesaws are used as catapult training devices by children to learn how to attack monsters.
Tohru explains to Kanna that she came to this world to escape after she almost died, and says Kobayashi saved her. She only told a few of her friends that she came here. Although I guess if a little kid like Kanna can find her, she's not very well hidden.
Tohru's magic hides their dragon forms from everybody except Kobayashi, so that's why there hasn't been any problem whenever she turns back into a dragon.
