|Episode 10 - Sakura and the Sleep Labyrinth|
Sakura keeps getting a bunch of phone calls. First she's talking with Meiling, who's instructing her on how to make rolled omelettes.. then she talks to Fujitaka, who wishes he could come home from work to see which photo of Nadeshiko she selected to be displayed next... Then Akiho calls her and meets her outside her house. Oh, Sakura invited her over.
Kaito gave Akiho some cookies to bring over. She seems really embarrassed about how much she likes Kaito's cookies. Also she's been displaying that Momo-chan doll in her bag for a while now. She's definitely much less embarrassed having a stuffed doll like that in public than Sakura is.
Akiho is impressed with how clean and organized Sakura's room is, and how the food she's making smells really nice... Akiho says she wants to let Sakura into her room the next time she comes over, and says her family only invites very close friends over to their house, which means she considers Sakura and Tomoyo to be very close to her now... It's almost like she's trying to get Sakura to let her in on her secret. Akiho says she's not as good at all this stuff that Sakura is good at, then Sakura suggests getting Tomoyo to teach her how to sew, and shows off all the costumes in her closet that Tomoyo made for her.
Sakura gets stunlocked when Akiho asks "when did you wear these costumes?" She quickly comes up with the "I was in a play" excuse, but then Akiho pries even harder and asks to see some photos... Sakura says she doesn't have any photos on her shows her some photos of the play she was in during movie 2 instead (so that is still canon after all).
The small talk as they go downstairs to have dinner gets kinda boring. Right after they left the room, some suspicious magic item looking thing sparkles on the bed and then starts flying around. Kero is useless as usual and doesn't notice it, and just talks about how he wanted to try some of those cookies.
Akiho wants Sakura to teach her how to cook, and Sakura figures out that she doesn't want Kaito to teach her instead because she wants to cook for him, just like how Sakura wants to cook for Syaoran.
The sparkly marble thing sneaks by and puts Akiho to sleep as soon as Sakura goes to put the dishes away. Kero finally notices something and comes down yelling for Sakura, before knowing that Akiho had just fallen asleep. Sakura notices the sparkly marble and chases it outside, and suddenly the outside of their house has turned into a crazy dream labyrinth.
It's like some infinite looping space. Sakura and Kero just start falling through it, trying to catch the marble. Then Sakura starts using her roller skates and Gravitation to do a bunch of parkour off of the floating platforms but still can't catch it. Tries using Seige, but not even that works... Sakura concludes that this space they're inside of must be the card itself. The marble is just a distraction. Or no?
Sakura gets another idea, and cloaks herself with the Lucid card will using Gravitation on Kero, and then getting Kero to distract the marble so she can then jump toward it and capture it... and then she captures the card that's creating this infinite space. Oh so this was actually two cards joining forces... The sparkling marble is Snooze, and the infinite space outside was Labyrinth. Sakura didn't even need to do anything to capture Labyrinth since she's already inside of it, and can just use her "Secure" command and capture it easily.
So far these new cards don't have any weird personality traits like the Clow Cards did that made it so she had to figure something out before they could be caught. Instead, all of these new cards can be caught just by finding the source of the disturbance and getting a chance to use her staff on them. That's either a testament to how much more competent Sakura has gotten since then, or it's just the writer figured these cards would have too much of an advantage if they are both much harder to locate and too cryptic to figure out how to capture them.
Almost forgot to mention, this is the first time this season that Kero has made himself useful at all. The previous episode finally gave Syaoran a chance to shine, and now Kero finally gets some spotlight too. Now it's just Yue that hasn't done anything relevant yet...
