Heart star cleanup part 1
For every level where I'm missing the star-heart thing, I'm gonna try it again one more time without a guide to see if I can find the clues to what you're supposed to do, and then if I still can't figure it out then I'll look it up in a guide.
1-2 - needed a guide. use Chuchu without any powers to pet the green guy's head.
1-3 - just needed to replay it a few times until I could manage to win the minigame. the level itself is like, ridiculously easy if you take Coo at the beginning, there's like no chance of having any trouble at all. then at the last part when it's autoscrolling downward, it's better to abandon Coo so you can go down faster.
Beating the boss of each world again when you get all of that world's star hearts makes some of Dark Matter's essence come out, I think...
2-2 - that was easy, just use Kine with parasol to mimic what the guy is doing. obviously I missed that one the first time because I didn't want to use Kine because Kine sucks.
2-3 - just gotta beat the annoying minigame.
2-4 - uh... no idea how you're supposed to rescue the little frog. had to use a guide to figure out there's an invisible door during the autoscroll section that you can barely make out (apparently, I couldn't see it at all).
2-5 - a really annoying water level without any good powers to use with Kine, and you need Kine to find the room where Pitch is, and bring Pitch to the end of the level.
3-2 - very easy... the character sweeping the floor is hinting at what you have to do in other rooms later on that look similar to this room. the level itself is really slow and annoying when you can't use a power that can traverse the sand quickly. I can see why I wouldn't have wanted to replay this level during the high session even though the solution was obvious.
3-3 - this is... the worst minigame yet. you have to count the number of a certain type of gordo that show up within like 1 second, and you don't even know which type until AFTER they go away. and the level leading up to the minigame is really slow and annoying, lots of up and down slopes with enemies that you can't kill easily with most powers.
oh yeah... I forgot that solo Kirby can do a slide move, this is actually very useful in this level, and lets you just run through all the sloped ground enemies. that makes this level go by way faster.
3-4 is an annoying slow level with a one-way maze section, and one of the paths leads to the blue haired kid that you need to rescue. I have no idea how you're supposed to know the right path other than trial and error, so I'm using a guide for this. bottom, middle, middle. once you know there's no reason to explore, the non-maze part of the level goes from annoying to really easy since you can just float over and ignore everything.
3-6 - oh yeah... one of the ROB parts is in a ridiculous one-way door maze. I used a guide to find out that the way you're supposed to get through that door maze is to use Kine with spark to show which door is the correct one.
4-1 - used a guide to figure out that I needed the broom with Rick to dust off the flowers. The solo Kirby broom power would only crush the flowers... actually, this level is legit kinda hard with Rick. It's easy to breeze through with Nago, but to get through it with Rick while keeping your power you have to be extra careful... and I keep trying to take shortcuts by jumping over enemies instead of stopping to kill them, and that keeps leading to my downfall and making me restart the level. Even when you get Rick and the broom power all the way to the puzzle room (at the end of the entire level), completing the puzzle when you know what to do is oddly really hard for this game. If you trample a single flower, you fail and have to restart the whole level over again... and there are constant clouds floating by getting in your way of seeing the flowers, and there are pits you can very easily fall in while you're trying to jump over the flowers. Fortunately I beat that part in one try.
I still have 10 stages left that I need to super-clear in order to finish this game... and I wouldn't be surprised if there's still a whole 6th world left to do after I collect everything. Currently at 77% completion.
