|Secret 5: Items Are Fun|
A door that falls to another elevation leads to a different area... That's the thing that had me stuck so much on this level. I eventually gave in and looked it up in a guide, and as soon as I learned that, I was able to get 100% easily. At first, I thought that getting 100% involved bringing item cards into the level, such as the ice melon... doing this does get you to a secret but it only contains stars and 1ups. The real 100% isn't actually that hard.
Extra 5: Kamek's Revenge
I've gotten a lot better at that skiing part now, and I can get all the items in that part every single time. Now I'm only missing 2 red coins... they're either in the first section with the timed switch bridge, or in the last section with the helicopter (that one is really annoying. It's very easy to get bounced around too much by egg throwing enemies or getting hit by kamek or a penguin)
There we go... I just had to explore a bit more at the first part of that helicopter area, and make use of the bubbles to extend the timer. Great level.
Secret 6: Endless World of Yoshis
Here's the last level that I haven't yet gotten 100 points on.
This level is really long... and during the 2nd half, there's a baby mario section that seems literally impossible because it doesn't give you enough stars to refresh the timer... this is dumb. I'm definitely gonna look up how to do this... I had to look at exactly where you need to jump in order to just barely make it to the next star in time.
After I realized that you run faster with baby mario by holding B (which surprisingly has never been required in this game up until now... to be fair I might've missed it in a help box somewhere earlier in the game though), after that I'm still missing 1 red coin and 1 flower, but thankfully the area with the goal actually has a pit so that I can restart from the checkpoint...
Turns out there was just a side path near the end that I missed, and it leads to a remix of the tutorial level with Kamek in it.
Got a congratulations screen that says I've played as 313 Yoshis throughout the course of the game.
